First Heritage Sponsors Support HWPI in a Big Way
The HWPI Board is very pleased to announce two leading Chelsea businesses as our first Heritage level sponsors. Chelsea Milling Company and Chelsea State Bank have each donated $25,000 and have endorsed the HWPI vision to develop new multi-use pathways connecting our local communities. Please join HWPI in extending a sincere thank-you to these excellent organizations and their employees for their support.
These corporate donations, combined with your community support donations, represent a significant step toward achieving HWPI’s long term goal of raising the $600,000 in private funds necessary to compete in Lansing for the $10-$12 million in public funding needed to complete “The Loop” trail system.
Chelsea Milling Company was established in 1901, as a traditional flour mill. By early 1930, they had expanded into the retail prepared baking mix market with their first “JIFFY” Mix product. Today, “JIFFY” is the market share leader in retailed prepared muffin mixes. In addition to their retail products, they produce mixes for the Foodservice and Institutional markets. The mission of Team “JIFFY” is to achieve 100% product integrity with quality people caring about one another and the communities served.
Chelsea State Bank, our local community bank, was founded in 1897 by a diverse group of Chelsea area investors. They have been serving families, individuals, businesses, and organizations in our community for well over 100 years. They are committed to the success of their customers. They embrace new technologies while staying focused on treating everyone with respect and dignity. They believe in reinvesting in our community. Where others have their branches, they have their roots.
